Chef Ambrose

Chef and Owner Ambrogio "Ambrose" Buraglia was born in Brooklyn, New York, to parents Gaetano and Agnese Buraglia. He spent most of his youth in New York and some of it in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. When Ambrose was about 11 years old, his parents decided to move to California. It was only a short time before his parents opened Villa Agnese Italian Restaurant in La Habra, California.

From a very early age, Gaetano taught his sons the art of Italian cuisine, preparing them to follow in his footsteps and become restaurateurs. Gaetano dreamt that Ambrose would have a restaurant of his own one day but sadly did not live to witness his accomplishments. With the opening of Guy Tano's Kitchen in Leander, Texas, Ambrose made his father's dream for him come true.

Guy Tano's Kitchen opened in December 2018 and was thriving when the Covid-19 pandemic hit. Faced with numerous unprecedented challenges, Chef Ambrose kept the restaurant open, devoted to his father's dream. However, rising costs and scheduled rent increases became too much to bear. In May of 2022, Ambrogio decided it was time to close Guy Tano's Kitchen.

Chef Ambrose began offering catering services under his new brand, The Rolling Pasta Bowl. In Fall 2023, an opportunity to re-open Guy Tano's Kitchen at Main Street Social in Liberty Hill, Texas, arose that also provided The Rolling Pasta Bowl with a permanent kitchen space (rather than renting space on a per catering-gig basis). In May 2024, Main Street Social was sold to Williamson County Emergency Services, so Guy Tano's Kitchen had to close its doors once again. The Rolling Pasta Bowl continued catering as customers wished for Guy Tano's Kitchen to return to a new location so that they could once again enjoy individual-sized portions on a regular basis. (The recipes at Guy Tano's Kitchen and The Rolling Pasta Bowl have always been the same: made by Chef Ambrose using his delicious family recipes.)

In November 2024, Chef Ambrose decided to focus on the Guy Tano's Kitchen brand while operating from a "cloud kitchen" in Cedar Park, Texas. Now, Guy Tano's Kitchen customers can order individual-sized portions online via DoorDash. Catering has also shifted back to the Guy Tano's Kitchen brand and can be booked by calling, texting, or emailing, as well as via ezCater.
